Frequently Asked Questions

Registration and Login

How do I register? Click "Register," fill in the form, and confirm your email via the link in the letter.

The activation email didn't arrive. What should I do? Check the "Spam" folder. If the email isn't there, use the feedback form on this page.

How do I recover my password? On the login page, click "Forgot your password?" and request a reset link.

Photos

How do I upload photos? After logging in, open the "Upload photo" section. JPEG files up to 20 MB are supported.

How many photos can I store in my gallery? The limit depends on your account status: basic for a regular user and increased for a premium user.

When can't I delete a photo? If it placed in the top of a completed contest.

Can I open a photo at full size? Yes. Click on the thumbnail and the image will open separately.

Contests

How do I submit a work to a contest? Open the contest page during the "Submission" phase and choose photos from your gallery.

How many works can I submit? This depends on the contest limits, your author rating, and whether you have premium status.

Who can create contests? All registered users.

Can the organizer participate in their own contest? As an author — no. As a viewer or jury member — yes.

Can I withdraw a work? Yes, without restrictions until the end of the viewer voting phase; after that, only works that did not place in the top.

What happens if too few works are submitted to a contest? The organizer can set a minimum work threshold when creating a contest. If fewer submissions are received than the threshold by the end of the submission period, the contest is automatically cancelled and reverted to draft, and the organizer receives a rating penalty.

Anonymous Voting

How does voting work? During the viewer voting phase, you are shown a pair of photos. You choose the stronger work.

Is the author's name visible during voting? No. The author is hidden until results are published.

Can I vote for my own work? No. Such pairs are not permitted by the system.

Why is this needed? To reduce the influence of author popularity, external traffic, and manipulation attempts.

What does "no manipulation" mean? The platform technically and organizationally makes manipulation harder: you can't vote for yourself, pairs are not repeated for the same viewer, there are reports, account restrictions, and moderation oversight.

Jury and Winners

How is the contest winner determined? After the viewer phase, the jury evaluates the top works. The contest winner is the work with the best result in jury voting.

What is the viewers' choice award? It's a separate award for the top-ranked work in viewer voting.

Can you receive both awards at once? Yes, one photo can be both the contest winner and the viewers' choice prize winner.

Premium and Votes

What are votes? For each choice in viewer voting, the user receives 1 vote.

What are they for? Votes can be used to activate or extend premium status.

What does premium give? Increased gallery limit, an extra submission slot, access to premium contests, access to people search, and batch watermark processing.

Can I get a discount on premium? Yes. If the administrator has enabled dynamic pricing, the premium price decreases depending on your voter rating and voting quality: the higher the rating and better the quality, the cheaper the premium.

Author Rating

Why can the author rating decrease? If an author hasn't participated in contests for a long time, their author rating gradually decreases toward 1000.

How to avoid this? If you submit a work to any contest and don't withdraw it before it ends, the rating decrease mechanism resets.

Organizer Rating

What is the organizer rating? It's a separate user rating as a contest creator. It depends on the popularity and activity of their contests relative to the platform average.

How does the organizer rating affect contest participants? The higher the organizer rating, the greater the coefficient with which authors gain (or lose) author rating when winners of their contest are announced. This incentivizes organizers to run full and active contests.

Where can I see the organizer rating? It's displayed in the user profile, in the dashboard, and on the dedicated "Top 10 Organizers" page.

Who makes it into the top organizers? Users who have at least one completed contest with published results and are not under restrictions.

18+ Content

How do I access 18+ contests? Enable the age confirmation setting in your profile settings.

Can I turn this mode off later? Yes, but if you're participating in 18+ contests or are on a jury there, the system will warn you about the consequences.

Complaints and Restrictions

How do I report a user? On their public page there is a "Report" button. You need to describe the violation.

How do I report a photo that doesn't match the contest criteria? During voting, each photo has a flag button.

What does "Restrictions applied" mean? This is a status in which the user temporarily loses some capabilities: submitting works, voting, complaints, and public profile.

People Search

What is "People Search"? It's a section for finding photographers, models, and other participants in the shooting process. Available to users with an active premium status.

How do I appear in search results? Open "Edit Profile" → the "Search Profile" tab, enable visibility, and fill in the required fields: roles, who you're looking for, types of shoots, city, experience, TFP.

Is it required to fill out the profile? No, it's voluntary. If visibility is not enabled, the user does not appear in search.

What is TFP? TFP (Time for Prints / Time for Photos) is a format of shooting without monetary payment, where both sides receive the results of the work: the photographer — experience and portfolio, the model — finished photos.

The required city isn't in the list. What should I do? In the city field, start typing the name. If there are no matches, simply type the name — the request will be sent to a moderator for review and will appear in the list after approval.

Photosets

What is a photoset? It's a private photo collection. The creator invites participants, and they can view and rate files within the photoset.

How do I get into a photoset? The photoset creator invites you via an invite link. Follow the link and accept the invitation.

How do I create a photoset? Open the "Photosets" section from the user dropdown menu and click "Create." Availability for creation depends on platform settings: for everyone or only for premium users.

How do I upload files to a photoset? Files are uploaded via synchronization with cloud storage (Yandex Disk, Dropbox, Google Drive). Connect a folder and click "Synchronize."

Co-authorship

How do I add a co-author to a photo? Open your gallery, select a photo, and click "Invite co-author." Specify the username and role.

How do I accept a co-author invitation? Invitations are displayed in the dashboard. You can accept or decline each one.

Favorites

How do I add a photo to favorites? Click the heart icon ♥ on a photo during voting or on a user's page.

Where can I see my favorites? In the dashboard there is a "Favorites" button; the section is also accessible from the user dropdown menu.

Who can see my favorites? Favorites are only available to you. Photos from restricted authors and 18+ photos are not shown if you haven't confirmed your age.

Notifications

What email notifications are sent? In profile settings there are two independent toggles: "Messages from users" (personal messages) and "Email notifications about events" (system notifications about contests, jury invitations, moderation results). Critical emails — account activation and password reset — are always sent regardless of settings.
